I love making this dish all year round

As the holiday season approaches, baking a fruit cake is a tradition practiced by families around the world. Yet, many shy away from this dessert due to its intimidating nature. However, fear not, for I have a recipe that is not only simple but yields a delicious and moist cake. My Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Fruit Cake will leave your taste buds begging for more!
I remember as a child, my grandmother would spend hours in the kitchen baking dozens of fruit cakes. She would mix and measure each ingredient with precision and place them in the oven to bake. As I grew older, I became intimidated by the process and would opt to purchase fruit cakes instead of making them myself. My fear dissipated once I tried this slow cooker recipe. Last year, I made an extra batch for a holiday party and received multiple requests for the recipe. Trust me, after one bite, you’ll be convinced that making this cake is not only easy but a must-try!
Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Fruit Cake
– 5-6 cups of mixed fruits (cherries, apricots, raisins, cranberries)
– 2 cups chocolate milk
– 1/2 cup of Bailey’s
– 2 cups of self-rising flour
1. Soak the mixed fruit in chocolate milk and Bailey’s for at least 24 hrs.
2. Line slow cooker with parchment paper.
3. Add flour into the mixed fruit mix.
4. Pour batter into slow cooker.
5. Cover the cooker and set it on low for 6-7 hours.
6. Once the 6 hours have passed, use a knife to loosen the edges of the cake and carefully flip it over to remove from the slow cooker.
7. Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
The Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Fruit Cake is not only easy to make but a crowd-pleaser. The combination of flavors from the mixed fruits creates a warm and cozy sensation in your mouth. Trust me, this recipe is worth saving and sharing with loved ones.
